“If you are looking for a firm that will fight for you, look elsewhere. I have a family member that has been with Burgis Law for over four years on a workers' comp case, and the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. ​We are currently approaching a trial date, yet the firm has made zero effort to communicate with the client. No phone calls, no updates, and no preparation. During the first years, every time we call, an appointment is made to talk to the 'attorney' on the case. The case is constantly shuffled from one attorney to another, and every time a 'new' person takes over, they are completely clueless about the history of the file during the appointment calls. If we don't call the firm, they have no intentions to ever call the client at all. ​While the attorneys play hot potato with the paperwork, my family member has been out of work for years with no financial compensation. They have been essentially thrown to the gutters by the people who were supposed to protect them. This isn't just a lack of organization; it’s a total lack of ethics. Do not trust your future or your health to this firm. UPDATE: In the end, for the loss of income never received from not working vs the amount of years this case has been open it is ridiculous.”

“It was a terrible experience. I never once got to speak with the attorney. I asked multiple times, but JOSE stonewalled me at every turn. He lied to me so many times, I lost count. He had an immature attitude, would rarely answer emails and never told me important details. He took his time to share any info with me. They also let the insurance company break the law when it came to getting my settlement to me in a timely manner. Jose played games with me. He would gaslight me, not return phone calls and was a real jerk on multiple occasions. I was in pain and I was treated like a criminal. They won't let you schedule any appointments with the attorney. Jose was there to buffer me away from speaking with anyone who could give me legal advice. I would recommend going to any other law firm. They treated me with disrespect and lies. Don't trust what they tell you, make sure you speak with the attorney about anything. Otherwise people like Jose will just lie to you and make you feel worse while you're in pain. Yeah, the people you will speak to ARE NOT ATTORNEYS, they are work comp advocates. There was little to no advocating going on let me tell you. I would rather suffer with the worst pain imaginable than ever have them rep me again. Horrible experience. I'm not just disgruntled. These are facts and I was treated poorly by Jose. Stand up for yourself, because they won't.”
